If your symptoms suggest urgency, a registered nurse will speak with you first to assess red flags and confirm telehealth is appropriate.

Connect by secure video with your Australian-registered GP. Average consult length is 15 minutes.

Care plan & follow-up
Receive scripts, certificates and your plan in your secure dashboard. We follow up if results or escalation are required.

How telehealth actually works
When it's time for your consult, you'll get an SMS and email with a secure video link. Click it from any modern browser on your phone or computer — no app to install. If your internet drops, your clinician will call you on the mobile number you provided. Consults are conducted one-to-one and are not recorded.
How we verify our clinicians
Every Nexus Health clinician is checked against the public AHPRA register before their first shift. We verify identity (100-point ID), professional indemnity insurance, qualifications and references. Credentials are re-verified annually and any change in registration status is flagged automatically.
How your privacy is protected
Your health information is handled under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, stored in Australia, and only accessible to the clinicians involved in your care. Our full sub-processor list is published on our Privacy page.
What to expect on timing
Most bookings are confirmed within minutes. Same-day consults are usually available within business hours. Clinical messages in your dashboard are answered within one business day. Urgent symptoms are routed to nurse triage immediately — and if it's a medical emergency, we direct you to call 000.
