Apply nowOur mission
Safer, more accessible primary care for Australia.
Nexus Health was built to give Australians fast, clinically governed access to general practice — and to give GPs a sustainable, modern way to practise. We pair experienced clinicians with nurse-triaged queues, clear escalation pathways and transparent operating standards, so you can focus on what you do best: caring for patients.
Contractor model
How working with Nexus Health works.
Nexus Health engages GPs as independent contractors, not employees. You invoice for the consults you complete at agreed rates, manage your own tax and superannuation, and retain the right to practise elsewhere.
Independent contractor
You're engaged under a contractor agreement. No minimum shifts. You set your own availability week to week.
Weekly payouts
Invoiced consults are paid weekly by direct deposit, with a clear billing summary you can reconcile.
Nurse-triaged queues
Registered nurses front-load safety screening so your consult time is spent on clinical care, not chasing red flags.
Senior GP on call
Peer support and escalation pathways with a senior GP available during operating hours.
Defined scope
Clear policies on scope of practice. Schedule 8, ADHD medication, medicinal cannabis and high-risk weight-loss prescribing are out of scope.
Modern tooling
Secure video consults in any browser, structured intake, integrated documentation and digital scripts where appropriate.
Flexibility
Practise from anywhere in Australia.
Whether you're balancing parental responsibilities, transitioning from in-clinic work, supplementing a part-time role, or relocating regionally, Nexus Health is designed to fit around your life.
- Choose your own hours and the days you consult
- Work from a quiet home office or co-working space
- Mix telehealth with existing clinic or hospital commitments
- Take leave without managing locum cover
- No commute, no clinic overheads, no rostering politics
