Funding options

Three funding pathways. One Regiment booking.

The booking flow can route patients to Medicare eligibility review, private payment or an NDIS disability-support pathway.

Medicare

$0 patient payment if legitimately bulk billed

  • Eligibility must be checked for the patient, clinician and MBS item.
  • Regiment can support a partner medical centre / eligible clinician claiming model.
  • If Medicare criteria are not met, the booking can move to private payment.
  • A bulk-billed MBS service cannot simply have an extra patient platform fee added.

Private

Indicative standard GP consultation: $89

  • Stripe can collect payment before the consultation.
  • The patient sees the fee before any card is charged.
  • Private is the fallback where Medicare or NDIS funding does not apply.
  • Other service prices remain configurable before launch.

NDIS

For eligible disability-related supports

  • Separate from ordinary GP diagnosis and mainstream medical treatment.
  • Self-managed and plan-managed pathways can use invoicing arrangements.
  • NDIA-managed services may require relevant provider registration.
  • Support type, plan management and claiming requirements are checked before service delivery.

How Regiment would handle Medicare

The practical launch model is for Regiment to provide the digital after-hours booking, intake and workflow layer while an eligible medical centre / clinician retains the clinical and Medicare claiming relationship. Medicare eligibility is assessed before any claim is submitted.

1

Patient books

Funding preference, appointment details and symptom profile are captured in Regiment.

2

Eligibility reviewed

The treating practice / clinician determines whether the service can be legitimately bulk billed.

3

Correct rail used

Medicare claim, private payment or NDIS invoice workflow is selected and tracked in the staff dashboard.

Partner-practice commercial preview

Illustrative medical-centre arrangement

A plausible starting commercial model is a $2,000 monthly platform / after-hours management retainer plus $7 per completed consultation. The partner medical centre / clinician keeps responsibility for legitimate Medicare claiming and clinical billing. These figures are illustrative for commercial modelling, not a published patient fee.

Preview only. Medicare, NDIS and private-payment pathways remain subject to the applicable eligibility rules, provider arrangements, claiming systems and connected payment infrastructure before real-patient activation.
